Call Center Officer – Debt Collection at Finley International Limited

Job Purpose:

The primary goal of this role is to ensure the timely collection of outstanding debts in accordance with agreed-upon terms and limits.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform various tasks related to assigned accounts, including recording, verifying, and validating customer details received from clients.
  2. Advise customers on strategies to settle their debts while emphasizing the importance of debt payment and the consequences of non-payment.
  3. Serve as a mediator in resolving disputes between customers and principals/clients.
  4. Locate and inform customers with defaulted accounts through methods such as mail, telephone, or scheduled visits, requesting payment.
  5. Engage in discussions with customers, either by phone or in person, to identify reasons for overdue payments and to review credit terms to facilitate debt settlement.
  6. Initiate the clearance process for resolved debts upon receiving payment proof and ensure the relevant department updates the records accordingly.
  7. Provide customers with accurate account details, including balances and account numbers.
  8. Maintain data integrity and safeguard customer information confidentiality.
  9. Attend to customer inquiries and meetings, whether scheduled or unscheduled.
  10. Record financial status information of customers and the progress of collection efforts in the company’s system.
  11. Respond to all forms of correspondence, including email, telephone calls, and postal mail.
  12. Organize, manage, and implement appropriate debt recovery methods and techniques.
  13. Negotiate credit extensions when necessary.
  14. Prepare required reports.


  • Possession of a diploma in any field from a recognized institution, with at least 1-2 years of experience in a Collection/Credit or Sales and Marketing environment. (A diploma in Banking/Credit management will be advantageous).
  • Strong analytical abilities, effective problem-solving skills, and the capability to work well under high-pressure situations.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills for managing relationships with stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English is essential.
  • Computer literacy is required.
