Key Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities will entail
i. Receiving payment requests from suppliers and customers and posting in
incoming registers
ii. Receive cash and cheques from customers
iii. Make petty cash payments and reimbursements after receipt of approvals;
iv. Providing safe custody of records and assets under him/her;
v. Preparation and filling records on payments/cash receipts
vi. Records advances and commitments in the relevant registers for
authorizations;
vii. Circulating payment documents to the respective officers for signing and
approvals;
viii. Organizes and arranges primary records for posting to cash books, ledgers,
vote books and registers;
ix. Ensures proper filing of all accounting records of the Authority;
x. Stamping fully processed and paid documents as ‘PAID’ and indicating
cheque or EFT transaction number on them;
xi. Receiving and dispatching all accounting and finance documents to the
respective offices/officers;
xii. Retrieving and re-filing of accounts documents upon request;
(b) Qualifications
For appointment to this position, a candidate must;
i. Be in possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Finance/-/Economics/Commerce
or any other related qualification from an institution recognized in Kenya.
ii. Have passed Part II of the Certified Public Accountants (CPA) Examination
iii. Be proficient in computer application skill; and
Successful candidates will be required to fulfil the requirement of Chapter Six of the
Constitution of Kenya.

4) National Police Service (Certificate of good Conduct)
5) Credit Reference Bureau

(Turkana, Marsabit, Mandera, Wajir, Samburu, Isiolo, Garissa or Tana
