Job Purpose

The Branch Credit Officer will support branch growth by managing loan processing, collections, and customer service while ensuring compliance with company policies and microfinance regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Process loan applications accurately and efficiently in line with internal credit policies.

• Coordinate loan approvals and disbursements to ensure timely service delivery.

• Manage loan repayments and follow up on overdue accounts to minimise default risk.

• Maintain positive client relationships while handling collections professionally.

• Provide clear and responsive customer support to both new and existing clients.

• Oversee daily branch activities to ensure smooth operations and policy compliance.

• Maintain accurate client and loan records in line with regulatory requirements.

• Support relationship-building initiatives to drive client retention and repeat business.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.

• Prior experience in microfinance or banking is an added advantage.

• Knowledge of loan processing and credit collections will be an asset.

• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• High level of customer service orientation.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
