Job Opportunity: Finance Associate (Project-Based)

Our client, an on-demand Courier Service facilitating product deliveries via their mobile app, is actively seeking to hire a Finance Associate for a project-based assignment lasting 3 months.

Responsibilities:

Your key responsibilities in this role will include:

• Ensuring timely updates of the TF (Transaction File).
• Reviewing the quality of TFs and verifying the provided support documents.
• Updating bank and MPESA statements.
• Uploading invoices to the G-drive for record-keeping.
• Providing support to external accountants.
• Reviewing invoices from suppliers and service providers.
• Processing payments to suppliers and service providers promptly.
• Submitting tax invoices to PWC (PricewaterhouseCoopers).
• Reviewing tax computations and making timely tax returns, meeting deadlines.
• Addressing any issues related to Value Added Tax (VAA).
• Scrutinizing contracts and agreements with suppliers, service providers, and banks, and negotiating payment plans.
• Conducting daily reconciliations for KFC and Carrefour transactions.
• Performing reconciliations for other Food partners as needed.
• Conducting checks to prevent partner fraud.
• Carrying out any additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you should meet the following criteria:

• A university degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong data interpretation skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Excellent analytical abilities.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
