We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Intern to join our team. The intern will support the procurement department in various tasks, including sourcing, vendor management, and procurement operations. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in procurement processes and contribute to the efficiency of our supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

Functional Responsibilities        

  • Assist in identifying potential suppliers and conducting market research about their products and services in various markets.
  • Ensure up-to-date Vendor’s database, KYC documents and Contracts are promptly updated.
  • Track and manage orders to ensure timely delivery and address any delays or issues promptly.
  • Assist in preparing requests for Request for Quotations (RFQs) or Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
  • Liaise with vendors to ensure Etims Compliant invoices are submitted promptly after service delivery.
  • Support the documentation and Record-keeping of procurement activities.
  • Prepare and analyze regular reports on procurement activities, trends, supplier performance, and cost savings.
  • Help prepare reports and presentations for the procurement team and management.
  • Provide administrative support to the procurement team as needed.
  • Assist with other tasks and projects as assigned by the Procurement Manager.

Job Requirements

Total Experience & Relevant Experience

  • Age Bracket Preferred
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in Procurement.

Qualification/ Skills / Competencies Required  

  • Experience in P2P or ERP Systems.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience in collecting and analyzing data.
  • Knowledge of procurement, tendering, contract management and purchasing procedures.
  • Excellent problem-solving capacity and sound judgment to find solutions in a complex environment with shifting and competing priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Organized, flexible and able to work under pressure with high sense of responsibility.
