About the Role

Kilimall, Kenya’s largest online shopping mall, is recruiting an Internal Control Auditor-Nairobi to strengthen governance across its operations. This is a full-time position based in Nairobi, serving a rapidly expanding e-commerce platform that processes thousands of transactions daily across multiple product categories including electronics, clothing, home appliances, and more. The Internal Control Auditor-Nairobi at Kilimall will play a key part in safeguarding company assets, ensuring compliance with internal policies, and identifying operational risks before they impact the business.

As an e-commerce retailer managing complex supply chains, inventory systems, and financial flows, Kilimall requires a skilled auditor who understands both retail and digital commerce environments. You will report on the effectiveness of controls, investigate irregularities, and recommend improvements that strengthen processes across finance, logistics, procurement, and order fulfillment.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and strengthen internal control systems spanning operations, finance, logistics, and procurement functions
• Conduct planned audits, spot checks, and investigations to identify discrepancies and irregularities in transactions and processes
• Detect and report on fraud risks, inventory shrinkage, process gaps, and other control weaknesses; propose remedial actions
• Examine critical e-commerce workflows including order processing, refund handling, goods dispatch, and stock management
• Compile detailed audit findings into formal reports and track implementation of recommended corrective measures
• Collaborate with departmental teams to refine standard operating procedures and strengthen control environments

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a closely related field
• 3–5 years of professional experience in internal audit, risk management, or internal controls roles
• Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, or CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) is highly valued
• Prior experience working in e-commerce, retail, logistics, or FMCG sectors preferred
• Demonstrated competence in audit methodology, financial analysis, and investigative techniques
• Strong reporting skills, meticulous attention to detail, and proven ability to work effectively under pressure in a growing organization
