About the Role
Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) is recruiting a Sexual Reproductive Health & Rights (SRH&R) Advisor for a full-time position based in Nairobi. This role sits within MSF Ubuntu’s Health Programs Unit and combines strategic leadership with hands-on technical support across sexual and reproductive health services. The position focuses on ensuring women, adolescents, and young girls receive high-quality, safe, and rights-based care while integrating comprehensive responses to sexual and gender-based violence and safe abortion care across all country programs.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of sexual and reproductive health strategies that align with MSF Ubuntu’s strategic direction and are adaptable to diverse geographic and social contexts.
- Develop and maintain technical guidance, tools, and protocols for sexual and reproductive health services, including management of sexual and gender-based violence and safe abortion care, in accordance with MSF International standards.
- Provide evidence-based technical support to country programs and operations teams on sexual and reproductive health service delivery, quality improvement processes, mortality reviews, and indicator monitoring.
- Act as the technical focal point for identifying and mitigating risks in maternal, neonatal, and reproductive health across MSF Ubuntu projects.
- Support field teams in conducting structured quality improvement activities and conduct regular program visits in coordination with country medical coordinators and headquarters leadership.
- Represent MSF Ubuntu in intersectional sexual and reproductive health platforms, technical working groups, and partnerships with local institutions to advance care innovation.
- Develop training materials and facilitate learning activities including workshops, webinars, and capacity-building sessions for program teams on sexual and reproductive health standards and systems.
- Support the recruitment, mentoring, and development of midwives and clinical talent pools across MSF Ubuntu country programs.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Registered Midwife or Medical Doctor with specialization in Obstetrics and Gynecology (essential qualification).
- Instructor certificate or equivalent adult training qualification (desirable).
- Minimum five years of relevant professional experience in sexual and reproductive health with an international medical-humanitarian organization or equivalent setting.
- Proven experience delivering comprehensive sexual and gender-based violence care and managing sexual and gender-based violence services.
- Demonstrated experience in clinical supervision, mentoring, and designing and delivering training programs.
- Fluency in spoken and written English (essential); French language skills are an advantage.
- Documented experience in cross-cultural communication and collaborative work across diverse organizational and community settings.
- Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion principles in healthcare delivery and continuous professional learning.
