About the Role

Kwale County Government is recruiting four Pharmaceutical Technologist III professionals to join the County Health Department in Kwale. This is a full-time position based in Kwale, on the south coast of Kenya. As a Pharmaceutical Technologist III – 4 Posts at Kwale County Government, you will work directly in unit pharmacies, supporting the delivery of pharmaceutical services to county residents. The position requires a diploma-level qualification and current professional registration with the Pharmacy and Poisons Board. Key Responsibilities

• Dispense medications and pharmaceutical products to patients according to prescriptions and pharmacy protocols
• Counsel patients on correct drug usage, dosage, potential side effects, and storage requirements
• Maintain accurate and complete pharmaceutical registers showing drug quantities dispensed and received, with daily countersignature from the immediate supervisor
• Monitor and manage pharmacy stock levels to ensure availability of essential medicines
• Support the County Health Department in maintaining pharmaceutical standards and compliance procedures
• Perform additional duties assigned by the pharmacy unit or County Health Department as required

Requirements & Qualifications

• Diploma in Pharmacy from a recognised and accredited institution
• Current registration certificate from the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB)
• Valid practising licence issued by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB)
• Ability to maintain detailed pharmaceutical records and documentation
• Strong communication skills for patient counselling and interaction with healthcare teams
• Understanding of pharmaceutical regulations and County Health Department procedures
