Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor amounts owed by customers and contact clients proactively to secure payment within the agreed credit period.
  • Perform account reconciliations and address billing discrepancies or payment disputes quickly and fairly.
  • Track credit limits and spending thresholds per customer contract, flagging credit risk to management when needed.
  • Prepare ageing schedules for outstanding receivables and suggest steps to reduce overdue balances.
  • Help execute debt recovery for past-due accounts and coordinate the escalation procedure with senior staff.
  • Keep accurate records for VAT compliance and customer documentation requirements.
  • Produce monthly or periodic reports on collection metrics, debtor information, and revenue performance trends.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field.
  • CPA Part II certification or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ hands-on experience in accounts receivable, credit control, revenue compliance, or similar accounting roles.
  • Competence with accounting software or ERP platforms such as Sage, QuickBooks, SAP, or comparable systems.
  • Strong ability to work with Microsoft Excel and produce financial reports.
  • Precise attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial records.
  • Solid problem-solving and analytical capability when resolving payment or billing issues.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work well with internal teams and external customers.
