About the Role
TakaTaka Solutions is recruiting a Sales Executive – Collection to join its sales team in Kenya. This full-time position sits within the waste management and recycling sector, where you will drive revenue growth by identifying market opportunities, acquiring new clients, and managing the complete sales cycle for collection services. The role combines strategic planning with hands-on client engagement, requiring someone who can manage both commercial and residential accounts depending on departmental direction.
As a Sales Executive – Collection at TakaTaka Solutions, you will be responsible for meeting sales targets, nurturing client relationships, and ensuring contracts are negotiated and closed on favorable terms. You will work alongside logistics, customer service, and marketing teams to deliver seamless service and maintain high customer satisfaction throughout the client lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Spot new business opportunities and monitor market trends within waste management and recycling to inform your sales strategy.
- Generate qualified leads, prospect potential clients, and build a strong pipeline to support monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Meet and exceed assigned sales goals through consistent prospecting, presentations, and deal closure.
- Schedule client meetings to assess waste management requirements and recommend solutions tailored to their specific needs.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and quotations that address client pain points and demonstrate value.
- Negotiate contract terms with commercial and residential clients, ensuring win-win agreements and successful closure of sales.
- Manage the full sales pipeline from initial contact through contract signature, tracking progress at each stage.
- Conduct market research to stay current on industry developments, competitor activity, and customer preferences.
- Track and report sales metrics, pipeline status, and conversion rates to senior management on a regular basis.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth service delivery and resolve any client concerns or issues quickly.
- Schedule follow-up meetings and check-ins with clients to confirm satisfaction, identify additional needs, and pursue upselling or cross-selling opportunities.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Sales and Marketing, Business Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 1–2 years of proven sales experience with a track record of strong performance.
- Demonstrated experience selling complex products or services such as facility management, security, or IT solutions.
- Ability to understand client requirements and translate them into effective sales solutions.
- Comfort with managing multiple accounts and balancing short-term targets with long-term relationship building.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for client presentations and internal reporting.
