At Yashio Kenya, we are looking for a talented Mid-Level Developer Engineer to join our dynamic development team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining our top-notch software solutions. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the delivery of efficient and high-quality code while collaborating with cross-functional teams to create exceptional user experiences and robust backend systems.

Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain scalable software applications following industry best practices.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and team members to fully grasp project requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Utilize code versioning tools like Git and Bitbucket to effectively manage and track software changes.
• Streamline the development process by implementing build and automation tools such as Webpack and Vite.
• Design and optimize databases, with a focus on MySQL, to enhance performance and address slow queries.
• Develop RESTful services and APIs using Laravel, leveraging your experience in Laravel Sanctum for API development.
• Apply your expertise in Vue.js to craft interactive and responsive user interfaces, drawing on your knowledge of Vue 2.x and 3.x frameworks and the Composition API.
• Take ownership of tasks, ensuring their timely completion, and provide regular updates to the team.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in software development.
• Proficiency in fundamental frontend languages like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Strong knowledge of Laravel, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in Laravel development.
• Extensive experience with Vue.js, including expertise in Vue 2.x and 3.x frameworks, Vuex, Pinia, and the Composition API.
• Familiarity with code versioning tools such as Git and Bitbucket.
• Experience with build and automation tools like Webpack and Vite.
• Knowledge of database technologies, particularly MySQL, with the ability to optimize queries.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills, demonstrating your capability to lead a team of more than 5 engineers.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, coupled with a positive and sociable attitude.
