Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests warmly, presenting menus and offering recommendations.
• Suggest and professionally upsell food & beverage products.
• Serve food and beverages efficiently while adhering to quality and presentation standards.
• Ensure tables are clean and set for the next guests promptly.
• Attend and accommodate guests’ reasonable requests and ensure all queries are responded to promptly and on time.
• To be knowledgeable about the menu and information about the food and beverage offerings as well as preparation methods.
• Take food and beverage orders and ensure that orders are communicated to the kitchen and bar promptly and accurately.
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage.
• Address customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests professionally.
• Process payments accurately, including handling cash and using POS systems.

Requirements

• Certificate/Diploma in Food and Beverage service from a recognized institution or its equivalent
• Minimum 2 year experience in a similar role
• An operational knowledge and proficiency in Point of Sale System an asset
• Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong guest service orientation
• Able to balance a variety of conflicting priorities while providing guest service
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly demeanour.
• Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively as part of a team.
