Key responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with Business Leaders, Data Analytics, Accounting, and Financial Control teams to design and lead business controls that ensure optimal operational and cost management practices.
  2. Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and projection processes while ensuring alignment with key performance indicators (KPIs) for all departments.
  3. Initiate and manage cross-functional projects to integrate cost control planning into decision-making and address identified risks and operational improvements, including inventory management, contract management, procurement, vendor management, and accounts payable processes.
  4. Identify and assess operational risks, providing actionable recommendations for risk mitigation.
  5. Support business teams with data analyses to pinpoint areas for improvement, efficiency enhancements, and cost optimization opportunities.
  6. Aspirations and ambitions to grow into country’s COO and CFO role.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 3-5 years of experience in consulting, audit or similar field.

What you will do:

We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Field Collections & Asset Recovery Manager to lead our last-mile asset recovery operations. This critical role involves managing a team focused on the field collection and recovery of assets, primarily vehicles and motorbikes (boda-bodas), for our offline units. The successful candidate will possess a strong background in investigative functions, particularly within the insurance, auctioneering, or similar challenging recovery environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  •  Team Leadership & Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of field collection and asset recovery specialists, ensuring efficient operations and adherence to company policies and legal guidelines.

  • Formal training and/or certification in various law enforcement methodologies/fraud examination or investigation.
  •  Proven experience (minimum 5-7 years) in a similar role within an insurance company, auctioneering firm, or an investigative function specifically dealing with challenging asset recovery or debt collection.

  • Confirm account status after loan clearance and educate clients on logbook release processes.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Motorcycle Inspections after Repossession:

  • Conduct thorough inspections of repossessed motorcycles to assess their condition and document any damages or discrepancies.
  • Compile detailed inspection reports and provide recommendations for repairs or maintenance as needed.

Car Valuations and inspections:

  • Evaluate the value of cars using industry-standard valuation techniques and tools.
  • Consider various factors such as make, model, year, condition, mileage, and market trends to determine accurate valuations.

GPS Tracker Installation:

  • Install GPS trackers on cars and motorcycles to facilitate efficient monitoring and tracking for the duration of the loan.

What you will do:

Key Responsibilities:

  •  Customer Interaction:
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone, email, live chat, and social media.
  • Handle customer complaints, provide appropriate solutions, and follow up to ensure resolution.
  • Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers always.

Problem Resolution:

  • Identify and assess customers’ needs to achieve satisfaction.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues accurately and efficiently.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate departments or management.

Product Knowledge:

  • Develop a deep understanding of the company’s products and services.
  • Stay updated with product changes and enhancements to provide accurate information.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Document all customer interactions, inquiries, and complaints in the CRM system.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed records of customer interactions and transactions.
  • Provide feedback on the efficiency of the customer service process.

Team Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure consistent and high-quality customer service.
  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and ongoing professional development.
  • Sales. Respond to all sales inquiries and generate applications from the inquiries.

 

What you will need:

Education:

  • Diploma or equivalent; a college degree in Business Administration, or related field is preferred.

Experience:

  • Previous customer service experience is preferred.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. (Both English and Kiswahili)
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using customer service software, databases, and tools.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and difficult customers with patience and professionalism.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Speed.
  • Good typing skills

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays if needed.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and practices.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while using a computer.
  • Ability to work with headphones for extended time periods

Work Environment:

  • This job operates in a professional office environment. Remote work may be an option depending on company policies.
