Job Summary

  • The role holder will be responsible for managing and coordinating all the utilities systems including but not limited to Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Systems (HVAC), boiler operations, chiller, water and effluent treatment plants, compressors, in all areas of the Company.
  • The aim of the role is to maximise the performance, availability and efficiency of all utilities at the site.
  • Make recommendations on major overhauls and replacement of equipment and initiate activities relating to energy conservation project.
  • Effectively lead a team of technicians and operators and perform more technical and complex tasks relative to the direct reports.

Competencies, Qualifications & Experience

  • Strong leadership, interpersonal and people management skills.
  • Ability to resolve problems efficiently, quickly, in a timely manner.
  • Ability to function in a fast paced production environment.
  • Working knowledge of GMP and ISO standards.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Minimum Degree from a recognized university in electrical, mechanical, mechatronics, engineering or related field.
  • Registered member of Engineers Board of Kenya.
  • Must be certified in instrumentation & automation.
  • Must demonstrate good command in relevant software and tools such as SCADA & PLC e.t.c.
  • Minimum 5 years with at least three years’ experience in a supervisory role.
  • Experienced in industrial automation, process control, in energised Air Systems (compressed air), boiler operations, water and effluent treatment plants.
