About The Job

• We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions. For this role, we are also looking for individuals who have used NetSuite either in their current role or previous role. You will be reporting to the Senior Manager, Finance.

Key Responsibilities

• Create Cash flow and assist in the preparation of annual budgets and Forecast
• Aid in Payroll reconciliation and payment of salaries
• Perform Bank Reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
• Manage the Fixed Asset register
• Aid month close reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
• Book revenue and perform accounts receivable reconciliations
• Manage Intercompany transactions and reconciliations
• Aid in statutory or financial audits
• Monitor accounts payable and ensure payments are made on time
• File statutory deductions and tax remittances for the business and liaise with tax authorities where necessary
• Maintain ISO Compliance, monitor SOP and update any changes in processes, spearhead ISO Audits
• Coordinate and support internal and external audits, ensuring all documentation is accurate and accessible
• Stay updated on accounting standards and changes in regulations, ensuring Sama’s adherence to best practices
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accountants fostering their professional growth

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
• Relevant certification (ACCA, CPA) will be preferred
• Proven experience as an Accountant, Accounting Supervisor, Senior accountant
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
• Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures; and familiarity with financial accounting statements
• Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools
