As Projects Officer, you’ll support the Facilities Manager to plan, deliver, and close capital works, refurbishments, fit-outs, lifecycle replacements, and asset upgrades. Your focus will be ensuring every project meets best-practice standards in scope, schedule, cost, quality, risk, safety, and stakeholder engagement.
What You’ll Do
- Plan, track, and control projects with precision — from WBS and baseline schedules to budgets and risk registers.
- Coordinate contractors, consultants, and internal teams while leading site meetings and progress reviews.
- Enforce rigorous QA/QC, safety, and compliance standards, ensuring all statutory approvals (NCA, DOSHS/OSHA, NEMA, EPRA, Nairobi County) are secured.
- Drive value for money through smart procurement, cost control, and technical oversight.
- Deliver sustainability outcomes, from energy efficiency initiatives to waste reduction projects.
- Maintain seamless communication with tenants, landlords, and internal teams to minimise disruption and ensure stakeholder satisfaction.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in project coordination/delivery within property, facilities, or real estate.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Project, AutoCAD, Excel, and cloud-based collaboration tools.
- Familiarity with Kenyan regulatory frameworks (NCA, OSHA/DOSHS, Fire Risk Reduction Rules, NEMA, EPRA).
- Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, CAPM, IOSH/NEBOSH, or energy/sustainability credentials (preferred).
- Valid driving licence with flexibility to travel across multiple sites.
