
Vumi Foundation
- Support the Executive Director by managing end-to-end operational and administrative duties of the organization on a day-to-day basis, including facilities management, calendar management, record keeping and project management.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop and execute strategic plans that align with the organization’s mission and goals
- Monitor progress and make necessary adjustments to ensure the organization meets its objectives.
- Strategic Planning & Implementation
- Oversee the allocation and utilization of resources, including finances, personnel, and materials
- Ensure that all resources are used effectively and in accordance with the organization’s values and policies.
- Resource Management
- Manage administrative functions, including office management, record-keeping, and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency.
- Administrative Oversight
- Assist in budget preparation and financial planning.
- Monitor expenses and revenues, ensuring financial sustainability and accountability.
- Oversee fundraising initiatives and donor relations.
- Financial Management
- Oversee recruitment, training, and development of staff and volunteers.
- Ensure a positive and productive work environment, fostering a culture of collaboration and respect.
- Human Resources Management
- Coordinate and manage various programs and projects, ensuring they align with the organization’s mission.
- Monitor program effectiveness and make improvements as needed
Requirements:
Experience and Competencies
- Minimum two years’ working experience in the Non-Profit sector.
- Experience with donors, regulators, banks and NGO’s is key.
- Academic background in international relations, business management or equivalent is preferable.
- Experience with fund raising for foundations is an added advantage.
- Strong commercial acumen.
- Literacy in bookkeeping is required.
- Fluent English and Swahili with exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Acceptable knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications;
- Presentation tools and programs
- Good organizer and planner with time management skills
- Experience in social media management is an added advantage.
