Sevi is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Junior Data Analyst to join our Kenyan office. This role calls for a passion for data storytelling through compelling visualizations and a talent for responsive data query writing. The successful candidate will be a central player in our data-driven strategies, making sense of numbers to guide business decisions and facilitate our mission of supporting small businesses.

Responsibilities:

• Create, maintain, and optimize informative dashboards and visualizations, becoming a storyteller who provides actionable insights from complex data.
• Engage actively with team members and stakeholders to understand and fulfil their data visualization requirements utilizing Metabase.
• Develop and fine-tune SQL queries in PostgreSQL for prompt data access to address the team’s immediate analytical needs.
• Work in synergy with the Nairobi and Dutch offices.
• Maintain the integrity of our data systems and contribute to the continuous improvement of our data processes under the guidance of a senior data analyst.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in SQL.
• Demonstrated ability to develop interactive dashboards and data visualizations.
• Proactive learner with the ability to work both independently and within an international team.
• Keen problem-solving skills and an eye for detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Skills:

• Understanding of BigQuery or similar large-scale data platforms.
• Experience with a programming language such as Python for data analysis tasks.
• Knowledge of ETL processes.
• Previous experience in a data analytics role is beneficial.
