Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and configure workstations with required computer hardware and peripheral devices such as printers, routers, and scanners.

  • Inspect and maintain computer hardware (e.g., CPU, HDD/SSD, keyboards, mouse, printers, scanners) to ensure optimal functionality and performance.

  • Respond promptly to support tickets and user-raised issues, ensuring timely resolution.

  • Install, configure, and support software applications according to organizational requirements (e.g., ERP, Financial Systems, Microsoft Office, HR/Attendance systems).

  • Maintain and monitor local and wide area networks (LAN/WAN) to ensure optimal performance and maximum uptime.

  • Implement and uphold data privacy and network security standards across all systems.

  • Liaise with third-party vendors (e.g., ISPs, hardware repair technicians, software providers) to ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.

  • Provide user training, orientation, and ongoing support on new software and equipment.

  • Plan and execute system upgrades and routine maintenance with minimal disruption to operations.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues, carrying out repairs or replacements as necessary.

  • Maintain accurate documentation, including maintenance logs, issue resolution records, and scheduled servicing.

  • Manage and update the IT asset register regularly.

  • Monitor inventory levels and raise purchase requests for IT equipment and consumables as needed.

  • Oversee the maintenance and operation of CCTV systems.

  • Manage and update the organization’s website regularly.

Person Specification

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Proven hands-on experience in a similar IT support role.

  • Professional IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) are an added advantage.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Highly organized with strong time management abilities.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of diverse computer systems, hardware, and network setups.

  • Sound understanding of internet security, cybersecurity principles, and data protection protocols.
