Role Description:

  • This is a full-time on-site role for a Human Resource Officer located in Mwatate, Taita Taveta County. The Human Resources Officer will be responsible for managing HR functions, developing HR policies, and maintaining employee relations. Daily tasks include job description development, handling HR-related queries, conducting interviews, and overseeing the recruitment process. The officer will also manage employee benefits and ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations. The incumbent will be reporting to the Human Resource Manager and will be entrusted with the role of advising Management on Human Resource matters.

Technical and Professional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • At least 1-3 years of experience in Human Resource.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and strong organizational skills.
  • Attentive to detail, innovative, tech- savvy, able to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Membership in the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) is also an advantage.
  • Ability to work on-site in Mwatate

Other Considerations:

  • Proficiency in Human Resources (HR) management and Employee Relations
  • Experience in developing HR Policies and Job Descriptions
  • Experience in the microfinance or financial services sector is an added advantage
  • Knowledge of Kenyan labor laws and regulations
