Homeless of Kisumu (HOK) is a registered non-profit organization based in Kisumu County, dedicated to empowering vulnerable children, youth, and women.

CALL FOR SHORT TERM ENUMERATORS

Homeless of Kisumu is seeking qualified enumerators to support a baseline mapping and diagnostic survey across the 14 wards of Kisumu City under the Circular Shift: Empowering Youth and Women through Tech-Enabled Business Models for Material Recovery in Kisumu project.

The assignment will involve conducting structured interviews with informal waste actors and selected households, collecting data using digital tools, and supporting validation of survey findings. The engagement is for one day of field data collection, with prior orientation provided before deployment.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Social Sciences, Environmental Studies, Business, Statistics, or related field
• Experience in field data collection and use of digital data tools (e.g., Kobo, ODK, Google Forms)
• Strong communication skills (English, Kiswahili, and/or Dholuo)
• Good understanding of informal settlements and waste sector dynamics
• Preferably based within Kisumu City
