Job Overview
Infotrak Research & Consulting is hiring Field Enumerators for an ongoing research project across selected counties in Kenya. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in data collection, field surveys, or community engagement, especially within livestock-related sectors.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conducting field interviews using digital questionnaires and accurately recording responses
- Engaging respondents professionally, explaining survey objectives, and obtaining consent
- Following survey guidelines strictly to ensure unbiased and reliable data collection
- Reviewing collected data for accuracy and resolving inconsistencies before submission
- Safeguarding data collection devices such as smartphones and tablets
- Maintaining confidentiality and handling respondent information with integrity
- Submitting data regularly and reporting progress or challenges to supervisors
- Planning field activities efficiently, including travel to assigned locations
- Identifying and reporting field challenges such as non-response or language barriers
Minimum Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Animal Husbandry or a related field
- Proven experience in data collection or field surveys
- Knowledge of livestock practices including feeding, breeding, and disease recognition
- Ability to use digital data collection tools (smartphones/tablets)
- Strong communication skills, especially when engaging rural communities
- Understanding of local languages and cultural practices in the assigned county
