REPORTS DIRECT TO: Production Manager

Jop Purpose

To ensure plant assets are maintained in a sound working condition by planning and engaging in preventive and corrective maintenance and ensuring energy efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor power quality and ensure regular and timely feedback is provided.
• Execute preventive maintenance on machine and equipment as per schedule and plan.
• Carry out online and offline condition monitoring and ensure necessary corrective activities are scheduled.
• Trouble shooting and repairing malfunctioning machine and equipment.
• Advise management on general health and conditions of machines and recommendations.
• Participate in installation and commissioning of new machines / equipment.
• Ensure maintenance activities are dully recorded and captured for analysis and tracking.
• Ensure maintenance cost is kept below the limit set point.
• Review power bills and spearhead energy saving initiatives and good power factor.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintenance procedures.
• Any other duties assigned.

Job Specification

• Bachelor’s degree/ Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Minimum three years’ experience in a related field.
• Able to read and interpret electrical diagrams and drawings.
• Attention to cost and downtime management
• Ability to trouble shoot electrical systems both in power and control systems.
