Location: Nairobi, Kenya Type of Role: On site and full time

We are looking for a proactive and creative Digital Marketing & Admin Officer to join our team in Nairobi. This role is primarily focused on managing and growing our digital presence through strategic social media content, storytelling, and short-form video. In addition, you will provide administrative support to ensure smooth day-to-day office operations within a small and dynamic team.

1. Digital Marketing & Social Media (Primary Focus)

  • Develop and own a monthly content calendar aligned with organizational priorities and campaigns.
  • Create engaging posts, visuals, and short-form videos (Reels, Shorts) tailored to different platforms.
  • Film and edit short videos from field activities, interviews, and events.
  • Ensure consistency in branding, tone, and messaging across all platforms.
  • Monitor and respond to messages and comments in a timely and professional manner.
  • Track engagement, audience growth, and campaign performance; prepare concise monthly analytics reports with actionable insights.
  • Support the execution of online campaigns and visibility initiatives.
  • Update and maintain digital content channels where required (e.g. website or newsletters).

2. Partner and Network Communication

  • Support the creation of newsletters, stakeholder updates, and professional email communication.
  • Assist in organizing online campaigns and information-sharing moments.
  • Help compile success stories, testimonials, and visuals from the field for use in both donor reporting and marketing content.
  • Assist in drafting project updates, presentations, and communication materials.

3. Administrative Support (Secondary Focus)

  • Provide administrative support to ensure smooth office operations.
  • Manage office supplies and coordinate with service providers.
  • Support document organization, filing, and basic record keeping.
  • Assist with scheduling, meeting preparation, and general office coordination.
  • Handle general inquiries and contribute to maintaining a structured and organized working environment.
  • Diploma or degree in Communication, Marketing, Media, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of demonstrated experience in social media marketing and digital communications.
  • Proven experience creating and editing short-form video content for social media.
  • Strong content writing and storytelling skills in professional English.
  • Experience with video editing tools (e.g. CapCut, Adobe Premiere, Canva Video, or similar).
  • Familiarity with design tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Affinity with digital education is an added advantage.
  • Experience working with non-profits, educational programs, or digital education initiatives is a significant advantage.

Remuneration & Benefits

  • Gross monthly salary between KES 50,000 – 80,000.
  • The final salary offer within this range will depend on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and demonstrated skills.
