Kiptaragon Technical and Vocational College (TVC) is a Public Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Institution established in accordance with the TVET Act No. 29 of 2013. The College invites applications from qualified and experienced candidates to fill the following positions. Terms of service is on Contract.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Drive College bus;
• Pick and drop trainees and staff to scheduled destinations;
• Ensure safety, security, and discipline of passengers during trips;
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report defects or malfunctions;
• Ensure cleanliness and general maintenance of the assigned vehicle;
• Maintain vehicle work tickets, logbooks, and trip records;
• Report on insurance cover status and accident incidents;
• Carry out minor mechanical adjustments and routine servicing checks;
• Deliver official mail and packages as assigned;
• Observe traffic laws and institutional transport policies;
• Perform any other duty as may be assigned by the management.

Requirements for Appointment

Applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications:

• Must be a Kenyan Citizen;
• Must be at least 35 years of age;
• Have KCSE or its approved equivalent from a recognized institution;
• Possess a valid BCE Driving License;
• Have undergone a First Aid Course lasting not less than seven (7) days;
• Be a holder of a Suitability Test Certificate for Drivers Grade III(PSV);
• Be a holder of an Occupational Trade Test Grade III/II/I Certificate for Drivers;
• Possess a Certificate in Defensive Driving;
• Possess a current Refresher Course Certificate for Drivers lasting not less than seven (7) days;
• Have at least five (5) years satisfactory driving experience after obtaining the driving license;
• Possess a Valid Certificate of Good Conduct;
• Have basic mechanical knowledge of motor vehicles.
