Weighbridge Operator

 

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Ascertains the accuracy by weighing raw materials and goods being picked from the site by any vehicle.
  • Collects and collates all documentation including LPOs prior to weighing.
  • Maintains proper housekeeping of the weighbridge and general area to ensure a clean, tidy and hazard-free condition.
  • Reports to management in case of breach of rules, act of dishonesty, malpractice by any member of the public, visitor to the site, or member of staff for a way forward.
  • Acts as first point of contact for any vehicles to resolve any issues/problems with the delivery/collection of goods.
  • Ensures that all Health & Safety measures are adhered to by any person at the weighbridge including the wearing of Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Maintains and develops effective relationships with all customers whilst ensuring efficiency in service delivery.
  • Maintains awareness of the relevant details of risk assessments, emergency procedures and other relevant health & safety and environmental compliance.
  • Ensures that there is customer satisfaction at weighbridge through immediate customer complaints resolutions.
  • Prepares timely weighbridge reports for raw materials.
  • Keeps proper records for all deliveries on raw materials, fuels delivered and materials dispatched on daily basis.

Key Outputs/Deliverables

  • Weighbridge operations efficiency.
  • Correct calibration of the weighbridge scale.
  • Make sure safety, health and environment compliance.
  • Reporting – Ensure completeness in documentation.

Academic and Professional Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • Diploma or trade test in logistics management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (procurement, supply chain and logistics, data analysis) desired.
  • Degree/Diploma in Automotive Engineering (Motor Vehicle Electrics)/IT/electronics/operations management or a related field (added advantage).
  • At least Three (3) years relevant weighbridge operation experience.
  • At least Two (2) years hands-on experience in tracking systems (added advantage).

Data Entry Clerk (Finance)

 

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Transfer data from paper formats into computer files or database systems using keyboards, data recorders or optical scanners.
  • Type in data provided directly from customers.
  • Create spreadsheets with large numbers of figures without mistakes.
  • Verify data by comparing it to source documents.
  • Accurately and in a timely manner update existing data.
  • Accurately and in a timely manner retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested.
  • Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation.
  • Sort and organize paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lost.

Key Outputs/Deliverables:

  • Timely and accurate preparation of the daily cash flow reports.
  • Prompt receipt of payments from clients after timely receipt of invoices.
  • Safe storage of documents for easier retrieval during internal, external and statutory audits.
  • Strict adherence to the company’s finance and accounting policies, procedures and processes.
  • Timely and accurate posting of transactions on the financial management system.

Key Skills and Competencies:

  • Fast typing skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel etc.).
  • Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices.
  • Basic understanding of databases.
  • Good command of English both oral and written and customer service skills.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Highest level of personal and professional integrity.

Academic and Professional Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • High school Certificate with an overall C+ grade.
  • Must Have – C+ and above in Mathematics.

Retail Sales Coordinator

 

Key Duties/Responsibilities:
Communication and Coordination:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external inquiries related to sales activities.
  • Facilitate communication between the Retail Sales Manager, Telesales Team Leader, Counter Sales Leader, Retail Outlets, and Sales Admin Team.
  • Coordinate meetings, conference calls, and other communication channels for effective team collaboration.

Sales Support:

  • Assist in preparing sales presentations, proposals, and contracts.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities including customer interactions, sales orders, and contracts.
  • Support the sales team in managing customer accounts, resolving issues, and responding to inquiries.

Data Management and Analysis:

  • Maintain sales data from the ERP and CRM systems, ensuring accuracy and data integrity.
  • Generate sales reports and analytics to provide insights into sales trends and performance.

Administrative Support:

  • Provide administrative support to the Retail Sales Manager and sales team, including scheduling meetings and preparing reports.
  • Assist in preparing sales-related documents such as contracts, price lists, and promotional materials.
  • Coordinate logistics for sales events, trade shows, and customer visits.

Customer Service:

  • Serve as a point of contact for customer inquiries, providing timely and professional responses.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to ensure high customer satisfaction.
  • Address customer concerns and escalate issues appropriately.

  • Accurate data on customer information and sales orders for Retail Management and the team.

Academic and Professional Qualifications

  • Diploma in Business Administration, Engineering, Science, Finance, or related field.
  • At least three (3) years of experience in sales.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well under pressure.

 

Client Solution Advisor

Key Duties/Responsibilities
Customer Engagement & Sales:

  • Assist walk-in customers, understand their requirements, and recommend suitable materials.
  • Actively prospect for new customers through referrals, cold calling, site visits, online research, social media outreach, networking events, industry trade shows, inbound inquiries, and any other methods prescribed by the company.
  • Educate customers on product benefits, pricing, and applications to help them make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of Kenya Builders’ retail product range.
  • Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities to maximize sales.
  • Process customer orders, generate quotations, and ensure all transactions are logged in HubSpot CRM in compliance with company policies.

Store Management & Merchandising:

  • Ensure retail displays are well-organized, stocked, and visually appealing to attract buyers.
  • Assist in stock control, updating inventory records, and ensuring product availability.
  • Monitor retail trends and customer feedback to help improve store layout and product presentation.

CRM & Sales Administration:

  • Log all customer interactions, sales, and inquiries into HubSpot CRM for proper tracking and follow-ups.
  • Follow up on open quotations and pending orders to ensure timely closure of sales.
  • Collaborating with the Telesales Team to convert inbound leads into in-store sales.

Customer Service & Relationship Building:

  • Handle customer complaints, queries, and concerns professionally and escalate when necessary.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with repeat customers.
  • Collect customer feedback and share insights with the Retail Manager to improve sales performance.

Team Collaboration & Performance Improvement:

  • Work closely with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.
  • Participate in weekly sales meetings to review performance and receive ongoing training.
  • Stay updated on company policies, promotions, and new product offerings.

Academic and professional Qualifications and experience required

  • Diploma or Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field preferable.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a sales or customer-facing role (preferably in the construction, hardware, or retail sector) preferable.3
  • Proficiency in CRM software (HubSpot preferred) and basic POS (Point of Sale) systems.
