Job Title
Assistant Customer Care
Job Purpose
The Assistant Customer Care position is responsible for supporting front-office and customer service operations within the optical retail environment. The role focuses on delivering courteous, accurate, and timely assistance to customers while supporting administrative and record-keeping processes. The position contributes to a positive customer experience by ensuring inquiries are handled professionally and service procedures are followed consistently in line with company standards.
Duties and Responsibilities

Receive, welcome, and assist walk-in customers in a polite and professional manner

Respond to customer inquiries through face-to-face interaction, telephone calls, and email communication

Provide clear and accurate information on optical products, services, and general procedures

Guide customers through basic service processes and address routine questions or concerns

Maintain accurate customer records, service logs, and related documentation

Support administrative tasks including filing, printing, and organizing customer documents

Use basic computer applications to update records and support daily customer service activities

Coordinate with colleagues to ensure smooth service delivery and efficient customer flow

Escalate complex issues to the appropriate staff members when necessary

Adhere to company policies, confidentiality requirements, and professional service standards at all times
Job Requirements

Certificate or Diploma in Customer Service, Business Administration, or a related field

Good verbal and written communication skills

Basic computer proficiency including MS Word, email use, and document printing

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact professionally with customers

Positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to work in a customer-facing retail environment
