2026 Internship Program – Session 2 at African Development Bank
The African Development Bank is offering internship opportunities under Session 2 of its 2026 Internship Program. The program is designed to give students practical professional experience while also helping the Bank identify possible future talent. However, the internship does not guarantee immediate employment after completion.
Available Internship Areas
The internships are open in many fields, including Agriculture, Human Capital, Engineering, Investment, Operations Management and Programming, Sustainability, Procurement, Delivery and Performance Monitoring, Risk Management, Finance, Capacity Development, Governance and Natural Resource Management, Economics, Statistics and Data Management, Human Resources, Information Management Technology, Real Estate Management, Translation and Interpretation, Communication, Legal, and Corporate Governance and Advisory Functions.
Program Start Date
Session 2 of the internship program will begin in July 2026.
Internship Duration
The internship will last for a minimum of 3 months and a maximum of 6 months. A candidate can only benefit from the internship once.
Work Arrangement
Selected interns may work remotely or on-site, depending on the needs of the hiring department. Those working remotely must have their own computer, reliable internet, and a suitable working environment. Those working on-site will cater for their own travel and upkeep, though the Bank will reasonably assist with visa processes where necessary.

- A monthly stipend
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify, applicants must:
- Be 30 years old or below at the time the internship begins
- Be currently enrolled in a master’s degree program at a recognized institution, or apply within one year of completing such a degree
- Be a national of an African Development Bank member country
- Provide proof of enrollment or a copy of the completed degree
- Be fluent in English or French
- Be able to use common software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access; knowledge of SAP is an added advantage
