ICT Intern

Brief description of duties and responsibilities

The intern will ensure proper administrative operation of the IT department and assist in managing the success of department tasks and projects relating to system and network infrastructure administration issues at KWAL.

Competence/Skills required for task/job

•  Knowledge of Microsoft products, including Windows Server 2016 – 2020, Windows Operating Systems.
•  Experience of cloud/ cloud storage concepts, hosted exchange, and hosted servers.
•  Conversant with latest ICT technology and compliance requirements.
•  Business Intelligence and coding skills
•  Good customer service orientation;
•  Strong written and verbal communication skills;
•  Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills;
•  Attention to detail and well organized;
•  Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
•  High level of integrity and self-discipline

Job Purpose

The job holder will support the team primarily on Accounts Payables , however additional assistance to Tax, Treasury, costing and Fixed assets

Key Responsibilities

•  Support Management/Reconciliation of General Ledgers
•  Support Monthly data capture and reconciliations for month end reporting
•  KRA Taxwise Audits documents for KWAL Sez Ltd
•  Fixed Asset count verification and reconciliations with the ESL team
•  Basic financial schedules updates

Minimum Requirements

•  Bachelor’s degree in a business related field
•  Professional accounting qualification e.g. CPA, ACCA, CFA
•  Practical experience in use of MS packages

•  Accuracy and attention to details
•  Strong excel analytical skills
•  Results oriented & ability to work with minimal supervision
