Inventory Accountant at Luton Hospital

JOB PURPOSE:

• Supervisory: Over site and receiving (GRNs), issuing (indents), that is posting of inventory in ERP system and concurrently the physical items.
• Supervisory: To ensure these meet the assertions Existence, Accuracy,
• Valuation, completeness in regard to Cost and valuation criteria.
• Supervisory: To ensure receipts and issuance of inventory in a timely manner.
• Compliance: Compliance towards procurement, inventory policies and International Accounting Standard 2 – Inventories.
• Reporting: Preparing inventory reports, stock take reports, variances report for review by General Ledger Accountant.

ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Certified Public Accountant Finalist and/or registered with ICPAK-Mandatory.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or in progress.
• At least 5 years post qualification of CPA Finalist or 7 years on the job experience plus 3 years post qualification of CPA finalist.
• Should have held a senior inventory/same position in a level 4 hospital or experience as an Audit senior in External Audit firm.
