National Police Service Commission (NPSC) Recruitment of Police Constables
Legal Basis
Pursuant to the Constitution of Kenya (Articles 246(3), 246(4), 243, 238(d), and 10), Sections 10, 11 and 12 of the National Police Service Commission Act Cap 85, and the National Police Service Act Cap 84, the National Police Service Commission (NPSC) invites applications from suitably qualified persons to be trained as Police Constables.
Important Warning
Recruitment into the National Police Service is free of charge and open to all eligible candidates.

Bribery and corrupt practices intended to influence the process constitute a criminal offence under Section 25 of the NPSC Act.

Any person who knowingly provides false or misleading information commits an offence and is liable on conviction to:

A fine of up to Ksh. 200,000, or
-
Imprisonment for up to two (2) years, or both.

Entry Requirements
Applicants must meet the following minimum criteria:

Be a Kenyan citizen.
-
Hold a Kenya National Identity Card.
-
Age: 18 – 28 years.
-
Education: KCSE minimum grade D+, with at least a D+ in English or Kiswahili.

Be physically and medically fit.
-
Minimum Height:
-
Male – 5 ft 8 in.
-
Female – 5 ft 3 in.
-
-
Have no criminal record or pending criminal charges.
Additional Conditions:
-
Female candidates must not be pregnant during recruitment and throughout the training period.

National Youth Service (NYS) graduates meeting the above requirements are encouraged to apply.
TIME OF RECRUITMENT
The recruitment process will take place from 8:00am to 5:00pm in the under listed
recruitment centers at the time and date indicated against each centre.
Method of Application
Interested and qualified applicants are required to download and fill prescribed application form available in ANY of the following websites:

Upon filling the forms, applicants must present themselves at the designated Recruitment Centres with original and copies of the following documents on the day of the recruitment:
- Academic certificates and testimonials
- Kenya National Identity Card
- Â Birth Certificate
NYS discharge certificate where applicable with a minimum rating of ‘GOOD’ in conduct
NYS graduates who meet the minimum entry requirements are encouraged to present themselves at their respective home recruitment centres.
All original documents will be returned to the applicant before leaving the recruitment centre.
COMMENCEMENT OF RECRUITMENT
The recruitment process will take place on MONDAY, 17TH NOVEMBER, 2025 from 8:00am to 5:00pm in all the under listed recruitment centres country wide. All applicants MUST be at their respective recruitment centres by 8:00am. Recruitment centers
