Qualification

Must have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement and Supplies Management or its equivalent from a recognized academic institution.
  • Have 3 Years’ relevant experience at a similar position.
  • Be registered by relevant professional body

Key responsibilities also include

Reporting to: Procurement Officer

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Oversee the receipt and issuance of goods and supplies in accordance with established procedures.
  • Maintain and update bin cards and store ledgers to ensure accurate inventory records.
  • Supervise store attendants and clerks, assigning duties and monitoring performance.
  • Conduct regular stock verification and reconciliation to detect and resolve variances.
  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and arrangement of items to prevent loss or damage.
  • Monitor stock levels and prepare stock replenishment requests when necessary.
  • Maintain cleanliness, safety, and security of the store premises.
  • Generate and submit regular inventory and usage reports to management.
  • Ensure adherence to inventory management policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to facilitate timely issuance and delivery of store items.
  • Participate in periodic audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Recommend improvements in store operations, layout, or inventory control systems.
  • Safeguard all store property and report any irregularities promptly.
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor.
