Security Officer at Embu Water And Sanitation Company – Embu Water And Sanitation Company Kenya Job Details

Job Purpose:

The main objective of this role is to oversee and coordinate the security measures for all Company assets and property.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Implementing security practices and procedures within the Company premises.
2. Patrolling property and monitoring surveillance equipment to secure premises and personnel.
3. Coordinating and planning security operations.
4. Collaborating with the police on security matters and preparing comprehensive security reports.
5. Coordinating with inspection and legal offices for arrest and prosecution.
6. Periodically checking CCTV surveillance cameras for disruptions or unlawful activities.
7. Conducting security checks and operations at satellite offices on a weekly basis.
8. Ensuring that outsourced security firms fulfill their responsibilities as expected by the Company.
9. Engaging in continuous professional development to stay updated with industry trends.
10. Carrying out any other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Preferably, a Diploma in Criminology or Forensic Studies from a recognized institution.
• An additional advantage would be a degree in Criminology or Forensic Studies from a recognized institution.
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience in the Police/Military service.
• Must meet the requirements of chapter six of the Constitution of Kenya, particularly in terms of Leadership and Integrity. This includes:
  • Possession of a current certificate of good conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation Department.
  • Holding a current tax compliance certificate from the Kenya Revenue Authority.
  • Providing a clean and current report from an approved credit reference Bureau (CRB).
  • Presenting clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).
  • Providing a clearance certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB).
