What You’ll Be a Part Of:
As a member of our team, you’ll have the exciting opportunity to:
- Take charge of and oversee the Retail business in Kenya, including managing Profit and Loss (P&L), operations, strategy, and the team.
- Define the long-term Retail strategy tailored for Kenya.
- Transform long-term strategies into actionable tasks and ensure they align with our business plan.
- Establish and expand operational processes and frameworks for various functional areas in the market, including category management and operations.
- Be responsible for the Business Unit’s Profit and Loss.
- Lead and nurture a high-performing team.
- Acquire and cultivate relationships with the most relevant retail partners in the market.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, such as marketing, operations, and finance, to ensure seamless and speedy execution of initiatives.
- Actively engage with your colleagues in a supportive environment that fosters growth, development, and the opportunity to make a real difference.
What You Bring to the Table:
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in retail, e-commerce, or FMCG.
- Strong skills in stakeholder management and communication, including exposure to senior partners and cross-functional teams.
- Experience in devising solutions for complex, strategic challenges with a deep analytical and data-driven approach.
- The ability to balance meticulous attention to detail with swift execution – we prioritize both speed and quality.
- Full proficiency in English.
- Grit and a willingness to get hands-on when needed; you persevere when faced with challenges.
- An empathetic, inclusive, and inquisitive attitude.
