Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will:

• Act as the initial point of contact, logging cases with the Dimension Data Help Desk for basic problem determination.
• Gather pertinent technical details and attempt to resolve network and security issues as guided.
• Differentiate between technical and non-technical problems with the assistance of Dimension Data.
• Address known problems using product documentation and local resources.
• Document unknown or technical issues through the customer portal’s ticketing system.
• Resolve network-related concerns and troubleshoot reported problems within the Network and Security Infrastructure scope.
• Resolve configuration problems and software glitches, seeking OEM escalation when required.
• Identify defects in product specifications and devise workarounds for hardware and software bugs when applicable.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Traits:

You should possess:

• A solid grasp of Network Security and associated Technologies.
• The ability to analyze problems and envision effective solutions.
• Proficiency in implementing, managing, and troubleshooting network infrastructure devices, encompassing Firewalls, Routers, and Switches.
• Knowledge of application and network protocols, as well as security infrastructure.
• Skill in creating precise network diagrams and documentation for designing and planning network communication systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.

Education and Certifications:

Your qualifications should include:

• A Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field.
• Professional Certifications like Checkpoint and Cisco (CCSE, CCNP).

Required Experience:

We’re looking for candidates with:

• Demonstrated experience in a networking environment.
• Proficiency in supporting critical network and security infrastructure, specifically Checkpoint and Cisco Firewall Routers and Switches.
• Familiarity with configuring and troubleshooting routing protocols like OSPF, BGP, Eigrp, and IS-IS.
