Your Role as a Junior Paralegal

As a Junior Paralegal, your primary responsibility will be to support and assist various departments within the company, with a particular focus on the Legal department. Your duties will involve legal and administrative tasks to ensure smooth business operations.

What You Will Do:

1. Assist the Legal department leadership and the company in obtaining all the necessary licenses required for business compliance.
2. Organize and maintain documents in either a paper or electronic filing system, following the guidelines set by the Legal registry or other departments.
3. Provide legal, administrative, and compliance support as requested by different departments to facilitate day-to-day business activities.
4. Conduct legal desktop research and offer interpreted legal information to assist the company in making informed decisions.
5. Collaborate with various County offices, Kenya authorities, and Courts to ensure continuous business operations.
6. Be ready to take on any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

What You Will Bring to KOKO:

1. A Diploma in Law obtained between 2019-2022, with a Law degree being an added advantage.
2. Proficiency in using basic computer applications.
3. Prior work experience in International or mid-sized companies.
4. Good knowledge of the Kenya legal system and administrative processes.
5. Strong analytical skills.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in English and Kiswahili.
7. Ability to work independently in a demanding and fast-paced environment.
8. High level of accuracy and precision, with great attention to detail, while analyzing files, documents, and data.
