We are currently looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our team and assist with our client’s accounting requirements. The successful candidate will play a key role in efficiently managing client billing and performing essential bookkeeping tasks, including responsibilities related to Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), General Ledger management, and more.

Outlined below are the main duties and responsibilities associated with this role:

Job Description

Client Billing (Invoicing) – 50%:

  1. Generate precise and punctual invoices for clients based on project agreements and the services rendered.
  2. Scrutinize billing details, such as rates, quantities, and discounts, to ensure accuracy.
  3. Collaborate with internal teams to address any billing discrepancies or issues that may arise.
  4. Maintain well-organized documentation of invoicing records and communications.

Bookkeeping (AR, AP, General Ledger, etc.) – 50%:

  1. Oversee the Accounts Receivable process, which includes recording incoming payments, reconciling accounts, and following up on outstanding invoices.
  2. Manage the Accounts Payable process, encompassing tasks like verifying vendor invoices, processing payments, and nurturing vendor relationships.
  3. Maintain the General Ledger by accurately recording financial transactions, reconciling accounts, and preparing journal entries.
  4. Contribute to the preparation of financial statements and reports as needed.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates should meet the following qualifications:

  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Hold a professional certification, such as CPA, which is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrate a track record of experience in accounting roles, along with a solid understanding of billing and bookkeeping processes.
  • Be familiar with accounting software and tools, with experience in software like QuickBooks, Sage Pastel, Microsoft Navision, or similar platforms considered a plus.
  • Exhibit exceptional attention to detail and maintain a high level of accuracy in their work.
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively address discrepancies and variances.
  • Communicate effectively, with the ability to collaborate with clients and internal teams.
  • Show responsiveness in meeting deadlines and efficiently handling urgent tasks.
  • Be committed to delivering outstanding customer service.
