Job Title: Human Resource Officer Assistant

Job Purpose:

The Human Resource Officer Assistant will report to the Principal Human Resource Officer and will play a crucial role in implementing human resource policies, procedures, and processes.

Job Description:

The responsibilities of the officer will include the following:

  1. Distributing interview materials to panelists to ensure a smooth and effective recruitment process.
  2. Preparing vouchers for all deductions to facilitate timely payments by the Finance Department.
  3. Extracting monthly summaries from the payroll for inclusion in management reports to aid in decision-making.
  4. Uploading NHIF, NSSF, and NITA byproducts to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
  5. Sorting job applications, appropriately filing them, and preparing application profiles for shortlisting.
  6. Processing leave requests from employees.
  7. Creating personnel files for new staff members and ensuring all necessary documents are filed.
  8. Issuing staff identification cards.

Person Specifications:

To be eligible for this position, the applicant must meet the following criteria:

  1. Hold a Diploma in Human Resource Management or CHRP I from a recognized institution.
  2. Meet the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution.
  3. Possess a certificate in Computer Applications.
